If you have done Gilgit and Hunza, you have to do Skardu. You don’t have a choice. Skardu offers a different kind of magic compared to Gilgit. Different but equally powerful.
There are three main travel destinations in Skarud. The Shigar Fort, Khaplu palace and the Deosai plains. If you are the adventurous kind you can also opt for the 8 – 12 day trek to K-2 base camp. But the first three can easily keep you occupied for a week to ten days.
