About Me

I started shooting with a lens seriously when my kids started running track.  As the kit improved so did the results.

Bragging rights: 5 books, 4 continents, 1 cross border exit with 21 years as an adjunct faculty on the side.

I am a Fellow Society of Actuaries (Chicago), an MBA from Columbia Business School (New York City) and a computer science graduate. Over the last 25 years, I have worked as a consultant on four continents.

While I have worked with technology and banking industry for two decades, my primary interest now is the next generation, specifically my kids.

I teach option pricing and treasury management and the first course in Entrepreneurship to business school students.  In the evenings I volunteer at the track and field club where my kids train. Early mornings are spent tweaking FinanceTrainingCourse.com a computational finance elearning resource I have run since 2010.

Reboot (2006 – 2009) was my first book.  Models at Work followed in Dec 2013 and Option Greeks Primer in Apr 2015. The last two were published by Palgrave Macmillan as part of a two textbook deal. Next in line is Portfolio Optimization using Excel Solver. All three grew out of teaching notes for my students.

I have been teaching as an adjunct since 1995. Current beats include the SP Jain Campus in Dubai and Singapore (eleven years), IBA Karachi and Habib University.

I  also serve as a member of the oversight board for the PASHA Social Innovation Fund, the PASHA Google Tech Incubator TheNestIO, IBA’s Academic advisory board and the Edu Enrich Education foundation in Karachi.
